One morning on my way driving to work, I rounded a corner onto a busy intersection and out of the corner of my eye, I just happened to notice a man in army fatigues standing next to a little store that was not yet open.
He had his hand extended in a wave at me. He was grinning.
I did a double-take because that was the last thing I expected to see next to the closed up store.
But when I looked back, nobody was there.
